Children (3-12 y/o) | Spring 2026
Our children's swim lessons focus on creating confident, capable swimmers by combining skill development, water safety, and encouragement in a supportive setting.
Classes are organized by age and experience so each child can learn at their own pace while building essential swim skills. With structured lessons and experienced instructors, children gain confidence, improve technique, and develop safe habits in and around the water.

Registration Guidelines
3 - 5 YEARS OLD

Preschool 1 is the first level of swimming for kids between 3-5 y/o. It is a transitional level which transfers the preschooler from the parent to the instructor. Preschoolers will have fun learning to get in and out of the water. They’ll learn how to put their face in the water, blow bubbles in the water, and how to float and glide.

Preschool 2 swimming lessons are designed for kids between 3-5 years old. This level builds water confidence and basic skills like floating, gliding, submerging, and kicking with support. Children will also practice safe entries, wear a PFD, and learn key Water Smart safety messages.

Preschool 3 is ideal for kids between 3-5 years old that are ready to build independence and strengthen their water skills. This level builds independence with deep-water entries in a PFD, breath control, floats, glides, and flutter kick. Swimmers will work toward swimming 3–5 meters and learn key Water Smart safety skills.

6 - 12 YEARS OLD
Swimmer 1 introduces beginners to the water with a focus on comfort, safe entries, and basic mobility. Swimmers learn to submerge, blow bubbles, float on their front and back with support, glide, and kick while building confidence and independence. If your child is 6 years old or older with zero swimming experience, this is the level for them.

Swimmer 2 is designed for kids ages 6+ who are comfortable in the water and ready to build endurance and technique. This level includes deep water entries, treading, object recovery, and improved front/back crawl (10 m). Swimmers learn flutter and whip kick, build stamina, and practice Water Smart safety.

Swimmer 3 is for kids ages 6+ who are comfortable in deep water and ready to refine their skills and endurance. This level builds deep-water skills with kneeling dives, front rolls, handstands, and somersaults. Swimmers improve front/back crawl (15 m), whip kick on back, treading, and continue Water Smart safety training.

Swimmer 4 builds stronger swimming skills by improving endurance and technique in front crawl, back crawl, and whip kick. Swimmers also learn refined arm pulls and breathing coordination, develop better body position, and increase distance and stamina across multiple strokes.

Swimmer 5 is designed for advanced swimmers who are 6 years old and up and ready to refine technique, build endurance, and strengthen water safety skills. Participants will learn shallow dives, cannonball jumps, and advanced entries into deep water followed by extended treading and swimming (up to 75 m). Skill development includes stationary eggbeater kick, back somersaults, head-up front crawl, and full-stroke breaststroke (25 m). Swimmers will also improve their front and back crawl (50 m each) through sprinting and structured interval training. Water Smart messages remain a core part of each lesson.
